What do we consider ‘growth sectors’?
We’re glad you asked! We believe growth sectors of our economy include: robotics, artificial intelligence, computer science, biotechnology, and environmental engineering. In order to truly prepare our scholars for these and other future growth sectors, we must create the opportunities to experience and explore. We enable passions!
At Catalyst our scholars have STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) five days a week, including one day of computer science. STEM learning is hands-on, aligned with future careers, and fun! Scholars will explore their world while building their critical, creative, and computational thinking skills. Catalyst scholars will grapple with real world problems and begin to be equipped with the skills to address those challenges.
As for growth for our faculty and staff, we are committed to professional growth and expanding our learnings as well. Not only is our school built on best practices from around the nation, we make large investments in our teachers’ continued professional growth. Our teachers receive daily feedback from dedicated instructional coaches, in addition to significant collaboration time with their peers. By focusing heavily on our teachers’ growth, our scholars will grow tremendously from our excellent instruction.
